Pycnogenol® 100 Gold is a purely herbal product with 100 mg patented French maritime pine bark extract (Pycnogenol®) and 100 mg grape seed extract. Maritime pine bark extract and grape seed extract provide a high proportion of proanthocyanidins. Maritime pine bark extract (Pinus pinaster) promotes microcirculation in the capillaries, including in the brain, protects the walls of the blood vessels and supports blood circulation.

The maritime pine (Pinus pinaster), also known as the maritime beach pine or Bordeaux pine, is native to the Atlantic coast of France and can live for up to 300 years. As early as the 4th century, the ancient Greek Hippocrates appreciated the bark of this tree - and Hippocrates also saw more than just „the truth“ in grape wine. Nowadays we know that maritime pine bark extract is particularly rich in the valuable plant constituents proanthocyanidins and polyphenols.
